Engineering Development

KEEPING ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT ON TRACK
Program managers draw on Avtec expertise to ensure that a program's engineering development phase moves forward on schedule and on budget.  We use advanced modeling and simulation techniques, along with a suite of standard and proprietary simulation and test tools, to predict the performance of complex systems, identify and reduce risks, and predict the impact of specification shortfalls.

We also make extensive use of hardware and software prototyping to analyze risk and quantify performance.  Fielded rapidly, Avtec system, subsystem and component-level prototypes allow engineering development decisions to be made with real equipment and real data.

Engineering development is where most of the risk occurs in a program. That's why we have evolved a comprehensive risk identification and mitigation process that goes hand-in-hand with primary development.  Read more

We have experience at all levels of prototyping complexity, from the building of boards and boxes for equipment capability tests to the development of quick-reaction experimental systems for large aerospace programs.  Read more

Because design changes during engineering development may have serious schedule and budget consequences, it is imperative to understand the effects of each specification shortfall on a program's performance objectives.  Read more
