With comprehensive capability at the board, box and rack level, as well as at levels of subsystem complexity well beyond such components, Avtec Systems can meet nearly any subsystem design need. We have extensive expertise in the design of both software and hardware subsystems and components. Beginning with the raw concept or with overall system design documents, our engineers can develop subsystem requirements and specifications into practical, working designs.
MODERN TOOLSET, BEST PRACTICES
Engineered using the most modern tools, our designs also integrate the most modern technology. Many of Avtec's systems are FPGA-based, and our engineering services organization is fully capable of advanced VHDL design, with a full set of design tools resident in-house. Rapid systems development using more traditional single board computers (SBCs) is another Avtec core competency. Avtec solutions based on SBCs are generally implemented in software, and run atop Windows, Linux, or on one of a variety of real-time operating systems, depending on the application. We make use of the industry's most sophisticated configuration management tools; all software and firmware developed at Avtec is extensively and rigorously version controlled.
